Blizzard 2011

February 1st, the Chicagoland area got hit with one of the worst blizzard storms ever!
Although it was a little scary, it was kinda cool to watch nature go crazy.
Shoveling the insane snowdrifts was far from being fun but needed to be done as soon as the storm had moved out of the area. 

For the 1st time ever, we saw a CAT tractor come through and shovel the snow off the streets.  It was completely insane!

Now that we have dug out of it, it isn't so bad.  I have to say that Chicago recovers quite well for such a huge storm impact.

Christmas 2010

Christmas is our favorite holiday of the year. 
This year we went to Grandma Koverdan's house.  Uncle Paul and Aunt Jess came up with Olivia, Grandpa Koverdan drove up all the way from Florida and his wife Renata flew in from Poland.

The tree had unbelieveable amounts of presents under it!
Santa came to visit us on Christmas Eve and Ashley could not be more exited.  It almost brought a tear to my eye to see her face.

Halloween 2010

This year was so much fun with Ashley.  She had such a blast!
She was dressed as a modern butterfly and just melted my heart.
She didn't quite understand the concept of the candy giving at first but quickly adjusted and became a pro in no time!

Paducah Visit

We went to visit Uncle Paul and Aunt Jess in Paducah for Olivia's 1st birthday.  It was quite the family affair.  Grandpa drove all the way up from Florida to meet us there. 

Ashley absolutely loves to be around Olivia.  Its amazing to watch the two of them interacting.  They barely recognize each others' existance but still love to be around each other.

We went pumpkin picking at Wurth Farms which was alot of fun.  When we got back to Uncle Paul's house we carved the pumpkins and just enjoyed our time together.

4th of July!

We spent the 4th of July at home.
Every year, Cherry Ln has a parade just a street away from us. It is quite an extensive deal in our neighborhood.
A few doors down we have the Fisko family that participates in the parade with the scottish group playing the bagpipes. It's pretty cool to see and hear. It starts in the morning as their bus gathers around at the house and we see and hear about 20 bagpipers warming up prior to the parade.

This year Ashley LOVED the fireworks show. She talked about them for days!
